Re: PNG not Printing on Windows
Thanks for asking... The PNG image prints both the PDF and from the web browser on the same system. Further info... the PNG WAS 2800x4000 pixels. Replacing the whole thing with a smaller PNG ends up printing OK. The new one is only about 1kx2k. It prints, and the alpha overlay works. Is this a resol...

PNG not Printing on Windows
I have a stack which builds up a few layers of images and text in another (hidden) stack. That stack is high resolution for printing. The layers from top to bottom are: 1. Some Text 2. A PNG image (with alpha showing layers beneath) 3. A background image (JPG) I use snapshots of this stack to show p...

CameraControl selecting from multiple cameras
I've got a project which uses cameraControl on Windows and Mac desktops. It seems to work pretty well so far, but when a system has multiple cameras connected, how does one create a control from a specific camera? For instance, I have a laptop with a second USB camera connected. How can I get the US...

Deploy HTML5 App with Ajax to Windows
I have an HTML5 web application which heavily uses ajax requests - no server-side code, just ajax. Now, I need to package the whole thing to a USB stick. On OSX, this isn't a problem... In Livecode, I bundle the site, and the embeddable webkit browser, tie them together, and I have a double-clickabl...

RevBrowser Webkit status
I noticed that the 6.7DP series mentions having updated to webkit browser, but I don't see any changes in the rev dictionary. It still indicates that IE is used on Windows, and specifies platform differences relating to that.
Can anyone clarify the multi-platform status of RevBrowser?

Re: Update of RegEx library (libpcre) done
@Troy: what sort of "stumpers" are you running into? I believe the 6.5 LC releases have access to the entire capabilities of the latest pcre library. Is this just a matter of LC text parsing? Well.. I guess. Yeah. ;-) We just can't seem to find any "magic" combination of matchChunk and filter and o...

Re: Update of RegEx library (libpcre) done
Hi, sorry to step in to this thread, but our search for back referencing capture groups in LiveCode landed me here. It sounds like this updated library was being rolled into the distribution? Does that change anything about the way we can use RegEx in LiveCode? Because we're hitting some real stumpe...

Re: Invisible browser
Thanks, at least I know it isn't Safari 6.
Depending how thing go, I may request a check... but the stack is completely basic... a single button that opens a browser. Maybe 10 lines of code total. And it works on my other machines.
Very strange...

Invisible browser
On my primary development Mac, the RevBrowser does not show up. The same stack displays it fine on my other Macs. Interestingly, the tooltips for the browser do show up, so the browser instance IS loading, and navigating to the URL correctly, and in the correct location on the stack, it just has no ...

Re: One addition...
While images are not getting placed in the stand alone, the small aiff audio files I also imported as controls are. This pretty much seems to happen if you use "copy referenced files" in the standalone builder. In my case, I had to manually copy referenced files, and script the paths to them. Note ...
Mark: I wasnt trying to create an operating system with Rev, I was just saying it would be a dream to shut the Apple fan boys up with an OS made from a language like Rev. Cos tbh them and the Windows enthusiasts are always arguing. Well, there IS AppleScript, which is written into the Mac OS at ver...

Imported images not getting included if...
[ OSX 10.5.7 / PPC (G5x4) / RevEnterprise 3.5 ] It seems that if I build a standalone, with "copy referenced files" selected, Rev appropriately copies referenced files into the bundle and can use them - BUT, it looses track of any images which were "imported as controls". If I don't check "copy refe...

Thanks for the clarification, Troy. Maybe it's a nomenclature issue on my part, since of course the "R" in "AIR" is for "Runtime", but I had the impression things made with Flex could run in either the desktop runtime or with the browser plugin. Am I merely confused? :) If not optimized for web-als...
