Re: learn transcript

...im wondering if there are books or websites that will teach transcript? There are a great many supplemental resources out there. To find the best fit for where you are, it'll be helpful to know a bit about what you've read so far. How much of the 649-page User Guide included with the LiveCode in...

Re: KeysDown misses certain keys?

Seems to work the same for me on Win10 as it does in Ubuntu.

Re: KeysDown misses certain keys?

I'm assuming you mean "press and hold", yes?

I get all keys here on Ubuntu, but not as letters, as numeric key code values; e.g. "ADSF" shows as "97,115,100,102".

I missed it in the other thread.
Happens a lot with topic sprawl, which is why it's really great to keep related posts together.

Should I merge this thread with that one?

Re: Whatever happened to . . . . .

In other posts you've complained that the IDE changed too little. Hard for me to keep up. ;)

Help me understand: can you point me to the enhancement requests you've filled from working with early-stage releases so I can better understand the flow of the communications?

Re: Help! My Code window is stuck

MacOS finally caught up with the rest of the world in allowing resizing from any edge a few years ago. LC enabled that for us in v6.7 by switching the windowing code to use Cocoa APIs.

Re: Feature Exchange: Infinite LiveCode

I can't say I follow their GitHub progress religiously, but prompted by your post I took a gander. This month's Insights summary: "8 authors have pushed 81 commits to all branches, excluding merges. On develop, 34 files have changed and there have been 331 additions and 189 deletions." Doesn't seem ...

They are all working fine: however, if you read my original few postings a little more carefully you will see what fusses me is NOT gradients, but information flow.
It's hard to follow when you write in disjointed snippets.

What information is not flowing to your satisfaction?

Well, most of us can think . . . 8)

But I can smell wafts coming from the mushroom factory again.
Gradients are there, and working well for me in v9.0.1. What's not working there for you, on which OS?

Just under 2 years ago.

Draw your own conclusions.
What parts of LCB's foreign function interface are you using and what's not working with those?

Re: unicode ?

I started out with individual fields that were generated by a script. Each had a number to the name for indirect addressing. The script was to quickly change size, spacing etc so the presentation looked its best. I was trying to emulate a Facebook style. The downside was the group was not easily fo...

Re: unicode ?

I have a field with paragraphs of text in it. Each paragraph comes from users who may type RETURN to create paragraphs of their own. The resulting inputs are displayed in a text field as a series of paragraphs. Only a bold heading will show the start of each users input. Think of a Facebook series ...
