Hi,

I`d like to know if there is way to code an update mechanism to release bugfix upgrades or add new features to an installed app ?

(let´s say on Android Plateform)
The recommended way to update mobile apps is through the app store.

Discuss: LC meetup at SCaLE March 8?

The SoCal Linux Expo (SCaLE) is coming back to Pasadena March 8 through 11: https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/16x While the name implies a Linux focus, SCaLE is really about all free and open source software. With multiple tracks covering everything from education to security, there's something h...

Threads merged.

Heather noted this morning that this was a server issue, and has since been resolved.

Re: Meeting: Jan 4, Pasadena

I'm wondering whether there will be a meeting on the evening of 8 March this year to coincide when I'll be in Pasadena for SCaLE... That would be cool, but then I couldn't go. We normally hold the LiveCode meetings on the first Thursday of each month, with only three exceptions so far: Kevin visite...

I'd guess that acceleratedRendering isn't needed far more times than it is. There are only three conditions where it improves performance.
What are those three?

And if we can I identify them, could the engine?

Re: Mobile Scroll vs Web Browser control

Why isn't acceleratedRendering on by default?

How many developers get up in the morning and say, "Today I want to build an app with slow rendering!"? ;)

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

The code you'd be working with is GPL. Really? The particular problem is that I programming languages I currently know are LiveCode and BBC BASIC: neither of which . . . You would not be obliged to keep the funds yourself. Most crowdfunded projects requiring engineering use the funds to hire engine...

..Whats the scientific name - -for this type of DB access ? There are ways to harden the DB, but with the unpredictable scope of potential vulnerabiliti...

Are these documents meant to be printed?

I wonder if a more modern, maleable format like ePub may be a good fit.

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

So, Yup! Why not be different (pace Apple's grammatically wrong slogan) and let LiveCode step outside the box, and just possibly, be seen as some sort of saviour of all that potential programming talent that is going to waste in the "Dark Continent" and other "murky" places. Sounds like a very good...
