Re: Background audio build option not working properly?
Okay, so it sounds like no one else has experienced this, which is a bit odd, but I'll raise a bug report anyway. Before I do, can anyone tell me the protocol for raising a bug report for a feature described as experimental? Can I expect any more than the reply "there's a reason it's called experime...

Background audio build option not working properly?
Hi everyone I know the iOS standalone build option to allow background audio is still described as experimental. I have had it working before, though, but not now -- at least, not when deploying to a physical device. The background audio works fine in the simulator (i.e. audio still plays when the "...

Re: codesigning problem after update to OS X 10.11
Apologies. I was looking in the wrong place for the iOS version setting. It does indeed work as you described.
Sorry for wasting your time. I've cancelled the bug report.
Thanks

Re: codesigning problem after update to OS X 10.11
dave.kilroy said Yep with LiveCode's new installation-by-dmg we can no longer mess with stuff in the app bundle
So does this mean the hack to allow iOS apps to run in the background will also no longer work? Oh lordy...

Re: codesigning problem after update to OS X 10.11
Hmm. This workaround doesn't seem to work any more in 8.0.0 rc1. If you apply the change to the script of of revSaveAsIOSStandalone and hit command-S you get "Can't save stack revSaveAsIOSStandalone due to an error: can't open stack script file" Also, I have the exact combination of resources (and o...

Streaming BBC radio and disabling ATS
Hi everyone After faffing around for ages trying to work out why I couldn't stream any BBC content any more from within my app, I finally realised I have to build the app with the option to "disable ATS". My understanding is that Apple are likely to require ATS to be enabled for all new apps at some...

Thanks for the very clear explanation, Dave -- much appreciated. Let's hope it's sorted in DP17.

FWIW, I have exactly the same issue, which hasn't been solved by trying any of the suggestions in this http://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=25113 thread.

Re: LC 8.0.0 DP5: building for iOS 9
Hi creepyTowel (nice name by the way) - LC states that this works from Mac OS X 10.10.4 (which presumably means it won't work from Yosemite?) - what version OS are you running on your development machine? Dave Thanks Dave -- that's a good point; I'm on 10.10.5. Even so, I'm not sure the necessary r...

LC 8.0.0 DP5: building for iOS 9
The release notes for today's DP5 claim compatibility with Xcode 7 for iOS 9.0 builds, but when building for the simulator I'm getting:
could not find plist template for simulator 9.0 target
...and a similar message when building for a real device.
Will we have to wait for DP6?
Thanks!

iOS soft keyboard microphone key
Does anyone know if it's possible to get the "microphone" key on the soft keyboard to enter text into a field successfully?
I only ever get the first letter of whatever I speak placed into the selected field whenever I press it.
Thanks!
Peter.
