I had the same 'slow IDE menus' problem after upgrading to Studio 3.5 on Windows. I never would have discovered the cause.
Thanks!

It was mentioned in the RevUp newsletter dated March 13. It was in the article titled "Rev 3.5 Nears Beta Release". The article went on to say: Get current to get in on the action Very shortly we'll be sending out an email with critical information: To Enterprise and Studio users with an active soft...

I got an e-mail concerning the webinar late yesterday (March 25th), but I managed to miss it because the start time stated at the top of the e-mail was incorrect. The top of the e-mail had the information shown below (note the 3pm Eastern start time). I hurried back to my computer from an appointmen...

Hi Malte: I stand corrected - my renewal pack key is slightly different from my original key (and my Christmas key). I just don't recall having to enter the renewal pack key at any time when updating the 2.7.x version(s) or 2.8.x version(s), or receiving a "license has expired message" during an upd...

Different license key with RevSelect Christmas Bundle?
Hi All: Just looking to clarify the "Your license has expired" message I received after running "Check for Updates..." from Rev Studio version 2.8.1-gm-3. I originally purchased Rev Studio 2.7.x in July of 2006, and subsequently purchased a renewal pack in July of 2007, which presumably is active un...

Revolution Live - January 2008
I received the e-mail concerning Revolution Live scheduled for January 10-13, 2008 in Las Vegas; however, the e-mail did not contain any pricing and/or registration information for the pre-conference day and the post-conference day.
Is there any further information available?
Thanks,
George

Command, Function, Keyword and Property Reference Guide?
Does any sort of printed and/or printable documentation exist that breaks commands, functions, keywords, properties out according to purpose (i.e., date-related commands/functions, database-related commands/functions, string-related commands/functions, etc.)? I've used the 'A-Z Dictionary' by search...

Please Enter Your Video Tutorials License Key?
From the Revolution IDE, if I click on 'Documentation', then click on 'Getting Started', then on 'In Depth', I am presented with a list of advanced topics with associated .pdf's and/or video tutorials. Seemingly, I should be able to download these topics, but I am presented with a dialog asking for ...

Mark: Just out of curiosity, how long has the installer/uninstaller been broken? It appears that version 2.6 used InstallShield, but 2.7 uses something else. Is the 2.7 installer written in Revolution? As a trial user (and now a paid new user), the failure of any application to properly install over...

Garrett: Yup. Rebooted with no effect. I'm wondering if this is related to the problem I had during the installation of the demo. The icons that were created by the installer did not reference the correct directory (i.e., "C:\Program Files\Revolution Studio\2.7.0-gm-1\", rather than "C:\Program File...

Uninstalling Rev Studio Demo
I just purchased a license for Rev Studio for the Windows platform; however, the expired demo copy (ver 2.7.1) remains on my computer. With many software packages it's usually best to remove older versions and/or demo software prior to installing a newer full version. Thus, I attempted to uninstall ...

Obleo: Yes, in my experience most license agreements allow one copy per CPU; however, this is usually clearly stated in the license agreement. If my reading of the Revolution License Agreement is correct, it stipulates that the program is licensed to a single user or business entity, for use on a si...

Licensing & Updates Questions
Hello: I would like to confirm my understanding of the Revolution Studio licensing agreement (available at http://www.runrev.com/section/terms.php - it's apparently not bundled with the demo version that I'm using). The terms seem to indicate that the software is licensed per user, per operating sys...

Demo
Hi Paul: Just for the record, I had the same difficulties with the 2.7.1 demo on my up-to-date (i.e. fully patched) Win XP Pro system that you describe: incorrect paths in the start menu & desktop shortcuts, and the disappearing mouse cursor over the demo splash screen/continue button. The path prob...
