Re: Recently we've been investing ....[SOLVED?]

Despite having reservations about the funding model (mac64 is surely core functionality not merely a nice-to-have extra?) and significant concerns for the long term viability of the language (particularly in my case within the academic community with Python being the language of choice apparently), ...

Re: Livecode: observations

Just an observation. Not "getting at" anything. Pleased to see some debate arising however. Your comment "(T)hat being said, unfortunately due to the nature of LiveCode and its heritage we do appear to have an innate uphill struggle in this regard and are always looking for ways to help improve our ...

Livecode: observations

I've been a user of Livecode since "Day 1" having travelled the well-trodden road of hyper-, meta- and super-. I don't write "apps" for a living. But I do write the occasional small piece of software which runs on the web or desktop for use in my teaching environment (University). And by and large I...

R statistical programming language

A while ago there was a short discussion (a couple of posts) about the development of a livecode interface for the R statistical programming language. Is anyone aware of what happened to this? Might it be something 'we' might re-visit? I don't think there is any point in re-inventing the wheel by su...

Re: revweb support? HTML5 instead?

As someone who also wants to use LC for the development of online content (University of Edinburgh, PG programmes) I'd be keen to hear about progress...

Data from web form

I am envisaging various uses of revlets within web pages as part of online education programmes. And the "rev" part of the programming is no problem (users can move stuff about, enter text, make selections, save results & data to files etc etc...) But if this is to become useful, I need to know the ...

Under Help>Check for Updates... all I get is
"Revolution Enterprise 3.5.0-gm-2 is available"
No reference to the preBeta.

No giving up yet!!!

rev 4 preBeta

Apologies for what is presumably my own ignorance but having read this...

"The 4.0 preBeta is now available to our Enterprise customers, and they are already downloading and trying it out"

I have to admit that I can't find where I download it from!

Advice (or a map!) gratefully received...

tabbed buttons

is it possible to set which tab is "active" when a card opens? I populate a tabbed button with different tabs according to previous user action (which works fine) but I want it to automatically hilite the first tab.
Cheers,

thanks BvG!

and now, after taking everything I read on board, I realise that "email" wasn't really the optimum solution. RevBrowser enables me to embed html pages and provide navigation buttons to allow the user to work through the case study (during which they are presented with a number of options: I need to ...

I am interested in using Revolution as a delivery platform for online & mobile learning. I have done the easy stuff (ie reading content from html documents, handling images, developing MCQs & case study activities etc) but have reached a limit of my technical ability... if this project is to continu...
