Suggestions for textbook to teach Revolution at college leve
Does anyone have any recommendations on textbooks to use as a companion to Revolution for an introductory programming class for information management and non-computer science majors at the university level? I have a little time to find the most appropriate text. Any recommendations would be greatly...

a couple of questions
Mluka, Perhaps you could explain why you think Filemaker won't do the job for your interface? Are you planning on setting up the database on a separate machine, or will everything run on one box? I've done quite a bit of Filemaker work and am currently building a RR solution for income tax prep. I a...

Tony, If you haven't found what you are looking for and you are interested in developing a budget program, then maybe you'd be willing to share what the key features/functions of such a program would contain. I've been developing a tax prep package with RR and have gotten through 50-60% of the effor...

I think if you do a search in the dictionary on "password" you'll find what you need. the command I think will do the trick is "ask password", it has an option that will allow you to catch the password in either clear text or as an encrypted string...

Basic requirements for tax prep software
Here are some high level requirements that I think would be necessary for a tax preparation package. These are designed to meet my needs--someone who is familiar with the tax preparation process, isn't necessarily interested in hand-holding on each line with supporting law references (I know how to ...

anyone up for teaming on an OSS-like project?
I am a CPA by profession in the U.S. I have done income taxes for others for many years. I have prepared returns manually and with commercial tax prep software--most of the consumer level versions are disgustingly tedious and I don't like. I also don't like the annual fees these packages enforce--I'...

IDE goes bonkers when...
in 2.7.4, while editing a series of fields, I attempted to switch between the basic and content views of the field's object properties. The IDE stalled on the 'table' option (which I hadn't selected). I was unable to do anything with the IDE until I attempted to quit Revolution, then the system resp...
