Re: Printing to pdf issue

(Note: The above advice was based at looking at the latest 9 source - there has been a few changes to pdfprinting since 7.0.6 - most notably it now uses a much more recent version of cairo, and there have been a few fixes to the way it hooks into the engine). Good info to file away for the future o...

Re: nseslo ---> lesson (='.'=)

FWIW, I also get a failure when trying to decompress the uAllWords of the stack in Maria's lesson (claiming it is not compressed data, the same as one of her errors). This is on Windows 10 with LC 9.0.1 rc1 Same here, 'nix. For what it is worth, taking 'decompress' out of that line allows the progr...

Re: ANN: Calendar Plugin

... works with any version of livecode , Um, May want to change that from 'any version' to Lc 7.x and above  (Did not show up in 6.5.x, error is "not a stack") Really? It's a standard plugin. probably you just need to change the extension or open with 7 and use save as version 6. Please let m...

Re: LiveCode Marketing Suggestions

Points all well taken Jim (just to make sure, I was only kidding about getting the job  ). My post was solely to answer the previous posting, in particular (since the question was laid out so nicely) the following (number listing by me) - The list posting is fully automated. I assume posts to ...

Re: Uninstalling from 18.04.1 LTS

Ok, so here are the default options for the folder locations, and the un-install file, with some pictures  First, the paths to the un-installer for Ubuntu (minus custom, of course) - Path for just you install - /home/YourUserName/.runrev/components/livecodecommunity-9.0.0.x86_64/setup.x86_6...

Re: Uninstalling from 18.04.1 LTS

Dot directories (.runrev for example) are hidden folders. When looking, make sure hidden folders are displayed.

I'll load the distro up in a VM and i'll take a look and put the most likely spots you'd find it to see if you can find it on yours.

Re: Returning to LiveCode

Bernd did TinyDictionary. I have to agree, He (and Brian and a few others) really did a fantastic job on it. It is responsive as all get out, and can be resized to a far greater use of space and still be usable than the included dictionary. While you still don't get the comments previously included...

Re: LiveCode Marketing Suggestions

What copy-n-paste do we want to see that we could not do ourselves in less time than asking them to do it? Copy/paste? I would think it would be easier to just automate the posting to post in all venues. Might be. Feel free to post any code you write for this to Github so others can extend it. *Dis...

Re: LiveCode Marketing Suggestions

That's pretty, bl**dy silly: I looked up "Hanoverian supporters" loads of times And if there was a programming language called "Hanoverian supporters", you alone might have made it hit the list  Like I said, I can see the reasoning behind the metric, however even someone as unsophisticated as...

Re: Is livecode dead?

I thought from the way you were talking, it finally broke the top 50 on the list  The ratings are calculated by counting hits of the most popular search engines While I suppose it is as good a measure as any other (I also read a lot about why it isn't :P ), like all else in the world wide time ...

Re: Returning to LiveCode

The dictionary <sigh> :? I don't know what they were thinking with that, and I don't use the newer version enough to really comment effectively on it. Brian on the other hand could probably tell you all about it :D In some ways, I think the dictionary improved. Certainly at least the guide(s) are be...
