Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

Thank you for the copy and linking shaosean, I was just looking at all the previous ways this was attempted to be tackled, not for my own use :D For my own use, I was looking at just creating a stack that sends what the script editor will be looking for for colors (the front script mentioned above)....

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

Correct me if I posted to the wrong place but it seems to me that i am posting in the "Feature Requests" Topics...so I´ll just wait and see... LOL  I stand corrected, I can't imagine how I missed that we were in that section  beside, if it only took me a minute to solve it, I would glad...

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

I had been thinking that, aside from the Mc IDE, I had seen another utility that would allow you to use whatever external editor floats your boat. I recently came across it again , I should have known better and just gone to the SOT website right off. The collection of utilities and code there somet...

Good to know, and I really agree with the 2nd part.

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

Seth works ok, but it has issues, so I’m not using it, and I haven’t wanted to use it strongly enough to try to fix it. Just curious Mikey, did you mention any of the issues you have with it directly to Andy, the guy that made it? I can tell you from my own personal experience with TinyIDE, he is p...

Re: Seriously no sound on linux ?

Now that is interesting, I've never tried running an installer from the download folder, usually I set my browsers to download to a location I choose (my system of directories eases the pain of backups :D ). Was there any error listed in the terminal window when the slave installer quit? Just curios...

Re: Select Col.name from table

That did also work Max, thank you for the alternate method. I'll be marking this as solved, and want to thank all that contributed, but to sum up for any that pop up this thread in the future. It is probably safest if you either pull fields from the table using `fieldname` or tablename.fieldname, es...

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

I Guess will always be on a dif. point of view. No problems there, I see a diff. pov from 99 out of 100 people a day :D and it takes so little to resolve yourself. exactly why I believe its a nec feature for next version  : .."so little"..have no clue which pluggin, where to download and h...

Re: Select Col.name from table

Well, while I didn't know about CAST (thank you for that), I had tried the line you suggested. This was the result - http://storage1.static.itmages.com/i/18/0118/h_1516303004_6581586_b63a33e25b.png *Edit - forgive me, I mistook ' for `. once the change was made using `, it worked to correctly bring ...

Re: Select Col.name from table

You really shouldn't have extra spaces in your statements. Your create table statement has them in front of the column name and I've had that cause me lots of trouble. I'll take your word on that, when I wrote this initially in Rb (um, about 10 to 12 years ago), It was the first time I had touched ...

Re: Select Col.name from table

"revdberr,Database Error: near "Summary": syntax error" is what happened here. Curious, I thought at the very least you needed the comma as a delimiter in sql statements? Cast and Summary are two separate fields in the table. tableFields.png I should probably add that this is all taking place here i...

Re: Select Col.name from table

You asked :P Keep in mind, I am migrating this program code from Realbasic to Lc, so this is the first time I'm poking about db's in Lc. The code is neither pretty nor even very nice at this point in my learning. The error returned when the statement is formatted like your example, whether spaces or...

Re: Select Col.name from table

I didn't think I did either, but when I entered it as in your code example, it failed completely? Maybe I need to try it from a fresh project.

Select Col.name from table - SOLVED

I am having a bit of trouble working through a db query. The db is sqlite. This line gives me all the information asked for - put "SELECT (Title),(Year),(Format),(Summary) FROM Movies" into tmpSql and puts it neatly into the datagrid, however if I then add Cast - put "SELECT (Title),(Year),(Format),...
