Re: Create Database in LiveCode?

Richard is right, we would need a much clearer question. Are you looking for an already made db that just doesn't use MySQL statements? Or are you looking to create a flat file db? Or are you trying to make a db that is contained within objects of the program itself?

Re: how to detect that Stack dimension is changed

Sure, put this in the stacks script - local tmpStartSize on openStack put the rect of this stack into tmpStartSize end openStack on resizeStack put the rect of this stack into tmpNewSize if the rect of me <> tmpStartSize then answer "Your stack size has changed..." & return & "The new size is " & tm...

Re: PSEUDOCODE

knows their pseudocode seems very odd to me as I always thought that "pseudocode" was NOT something rigidly defined like "real" programming languages, but simply a way to jot down the logical underpinnings that will need to be written into real code once one gets up and running. Therefore there cou...

Re: Audio and Video export possibilities

Thanks Lagi! 20 It is interesting that the first link doesn't copy correctly from the address bar (not your fault, I tested it myself). For some reason, when you copy the address - http://www.bbcbasic.co.uk/bbcsdl/index.html from the address bar, it drops the 'l' at the end, which leads to a 404 err...

Re: vscroll not being updated thro handler

heya kaveh, 20 Interesting problem, but seems like you have a communication breakdown. I am curious about something though, it seems like you are trying to re-invent something the field does all on its own by default, i.e. when you type in a field, the scroll automatically drops down when the text i...

Re: Creating a DDL using LiveCode - is it possible?

Hello Bruce27, 20 Assuming you mean a dll (dynamic linked library) , I believe the answer as Klaus says is 'no', which he further elucidates upon here . However, you could use Lc to create a program that other programs can access, providing the language you are calling from provides a means to execu...

would know that it has nothing to do with designing an algorithm, but rather is more like a story-line that describes what you want to do in a particular language, so the question makes no sense.
