Anyway, I don't mean to stir up the hive -- just surprised that there is less discussion of the topic than about the topic!
Pretty sure the majority of that happened in the first 3 full pages :D

Re: Windows system tray icon

I was just trying to say the wording is a bit confusing, the fact that 2 people put up 2 replies about 2 different things tends to bear that out :) As I was editing my above post, I came across this thread in the link -> I think the system tray is supported in some fashion without LCB due to threads...

Re: Windows system tray icon

The wording does make it hard to tell if he is talking about the actual 'system tray' or the 'task bar' in this case. I believe Andy's reply was referring to the second one, but as I said, the description of what is actually trying to be accomplished sounds confusing. I think the system tray is supp...

Re: Children's Education App for Measuring with a Ruler

I would suspect that for what your talking about, richmond62 is absolutely correct about using window shape, rotation and so forth. I seem to remember years ago a program that allowed doodling directly on screen, but it wasn't written in Lc, and unfortunately I seem to have lost track of it. Short o...

Re: Is livecode dead?

... I could change the title, what do you suggest? Frankly I don't want to offend anybody, I really love livecode, and appreciate all the livecode team, but these are the first titles I get in my mind: Am I the only one lost without a livecode roadmap? You have just 1 day to found this... Write les...

Re: Filter Script & Patterns & Regex

Neither of the links I posted helped? The one about regex was particularly enlightening to me, and has all kinds of information about them.

Re: Filter Script & Patterns & Regex

Here is another link from Max's wiki that may help cover regex better. Least I found it easier to understand.

Re: Filter Script & Patterns & Regex

Yah, it can be confusing. I'm not sure I have it all straight, although I can manage fairly simple things ok. My understanding (so far) is that - . "filter with" = what you want to specifically see in the filtered result. . "filter without" = what you want to specifically drop in the list. . pattern...

Re: working with lcdoc files

I see, so splitting them and writing it as 'CR LF' wouldn't help either? I'd think that when the os got to the one that made sense to it, it would figure it out. Thank you btw, it helped a lot.

...copy text to the clipboard and retain the correct textSize. When I use the code... set the clipboardData["RTF"] to the RTFText of field "copyThisField" . The textFont of "Times New Roman" comes through but the text that is pasted from my clipboard does not retain the correct textSize. . I used 8...

Re: Resizing at 80% Editor space / Screen

Not sure I get the problem, you are talking about the script editor, right? If so, set the size you want initially, then use the full screen or window button in the middle to resize it? It always returns to the size I left it here (Linux). http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/img/1513003840.png If I'm ...

Re: working with lcdoc files

I currently have it configured to use UTF8/LF. I know that is appropriate for Mac and Linux, not sure if it will cause issues for Windows (I know the default is CRLF, but anything from the repo is going to be LF and .livecodescript files also default to LF, api.lcdoc and api.js files are all genera...

Actually, that makes sense to me. I probably should have looked in the dictionary a bit longer <sigh> but congrats on figuring it out :)
