Re: Questions regarding standalones on Linux

You know, you and I have been derailing an awful lot of topics lately. Nothing in the last several posts has anything to do with the question at hand. Have you considered interpreting the question at face value as written? You mean, like how you interpreted what I wrote only a few posts ago, which I...

Re: Sorting data question

Oh, well for that I'd use a script local to hold tData at the top of the script, which will hold the data for multiple handlers (but I'm sure you already know that). For what I understand to be presented here, I'd roll with something like ... local tData on (put lines into var handler) put the lines...

Re: Sorting data question

Well, from the code you posted, I would scrap the case/switch, setup a variable to hold an increasing number which can be applied for each repetition, and then proceed to put tLIne(var) after tData(var). That would eliminate worrying about how many lines you have, since it would increase the count u...

Re: Questions regarding standalones on Linux

Kind of like when you say things like "Did you read the entire manual that comes in PDF format to understand one point about [x] in LiveCode". When did I write that? In those exact words? Never, everything after the word 'manual' was my addition, but if you would like, I'm sure I can find plenty of...

Re: Sorting data question

just wonder, is that you want to do to split the data, or to sort the data? That, and what is I am having a hard time figuring out how to sort and comment on data. As Richard and Craig pointed out, sorting is easy, so is splitting up the data. From the format you present, it appears to be a CSV dat...

Re: Questions regarding standalones on Linux

Yes. I have no time for randomness (perhaps instead of "Is there a point?", suggesting the possibility of pointlessness, you'd meant to write "What is the point?", which merely seeks clarification). I apologize for not saying it more clearly, the question wasn't meant to read "Is there a point beca...

Re: OpenStack not runnning

Bogs, I have made a lot of changes so hard to pin down what might have caused the change. I realize I wasn't very clear in the first statement, I meant changes only since the last time it worked as it should  Of course, I always think people make backups before making changes like I do, or co...

Re: OpenStack not runnning

First idea is what did you change last?
Second idea is you have something in your preOpenStack (or perhaps in a group) that is running the openStack handler and not passing it so it can run again in the location that is currently not working.

Re: Questions regarding standalones on Linux

Was there a particular starting point of the 480 some odd lines of the specs you were thinking of that applies to application icons in the window?

That is a good reference (and one I use often), but I must have missed that entry.

Re: Old tips = new tricks

I've updated this plugin again. One behavior that was annoying me was that it would always open at the center of the screen, so I was constantly moving it to the side. Now I've added a custom property that will let it will retain whatever position it was in last when you close the IDE. A second anno...

Ah HAH! I just knew someone had pointed out the way to do this previously, and I finally remembered who!

Thank you again Panos :D

*Edit, just tested it, worked like a charm.
