Re: SQLite Foreign Key Constraint

Heh, I have no problem with that, you should have seen some of the twists and dodges I went through recently because I had issues pulling pictures out I had stuck in with a different language :D Before I had put them into a db, I went exactly the route your thinking, stuff em in a folder with unique...

Re: Running Ubuntu Linux on Virtualbox

I think I'll stop derailing the main topic here, I can see from your post we're at one of those places that you and I part ways in our thinking. I absolutely believe you if you say it is definitely the engine, then I am now sure that it is. It doesn't seem much of an improvement though, if every oth...

Re: Running Ubuntu Linux on Virtualbox

I think the main problem I have using the current distro is the fact that I do not use <desktop here> 'buntu anything. Since I am not using a supported distro, I don't expect my issues to matter in the current releases, which I am ok with :D As far as issues on non supported distros go, though, they...

Re: A basic tutorial...

Along the lines of helping to facilitate making viewing, going back/forward, or preventing people from missing things, I've changed up the description to include a complete outline text (down-loadable), and chapter / time-stamp links.

Hopefully that will prove more helpful :)

Re: A basic tutorial...

On of the ways to minimise this is to line up several "victims" and sit them down in front of a white board (and if you have a data projector to project your LC bits that helps) and subject them to your 'film' as a presentation. Welcome to the victims thread  Either furnish then with a que...

Being a simple plugin, I can't imagine how it could have any significant event on how the engine interacts with the OS.
I suspect the engine isn't the problem most people would have with the current distro :)

But thank you for the confirmation, it was pretty much what I had guessed.

Re: How to prevent Windows from Screensaver while program running

Not as far as I know short of writing an external or perhaps running a vbscript , perhaps someone else knows better. Me, I go for what works, I leave extreme elegance to people who understand it  I did come across this page in Max's excellent wiki though. *Edit - I did find this little note in...

Re: A basic tutorial...

Yah, there in lies the rub. If I run it at normal speed, parts of it really drag. determining what should be sped up a little, a little more, or a metric ton more is a fine line. I did *try* to walk that line, by the way, certain parts are moving much faster than original and some not as much faster...

Re: How to prevent Windows from Screensaver while program running

Well, let me start off by saying it has been a long LONG time since I used windows for...anything really. Having said that, from the cli, i remember at one time running a batch file I wrote that killed the screen saver process by simulating a mouse move to 0,0. I think I'd either try to reconstruct ...

Re: Running Ubuntu Linux on Virtualbox

My question would be, are you running it as it shows up out of the box as it were, or are you running the engine with Devolution as the IDE. Just curious really.

Re: A basic tutorial...

Heya Redfield, Thank you for the input. I am just finishing up the re-editing of the tutorial. I've condensed the whole thing to 1 clip, increased the font in the script editor, set it so that the script editor takes up the majority of the screen when in use, and added more descriptions and set all ...

Re: Acid-Free Paper

Well, that was why I suggested Blender. Blender can model the book, the pages, create animation video or generate images with equal facility. 2.8, even though still in beta, works really well and renders out extremely quickly on the same hardware 2.79 would stutter on. Of course, if you never used 3...

Re: Batch file with a flag -- need assistance

I'm not sure why you wouldn't receive any input, I set up this simple test of my answer to your post with a batch file I wrote, if you don't use a flag, you get the standard "hello", and if you do use a flag you get an echo of the flag. This is on a Win7 machine - Win7Tester [Running] - Oracle VM Vi...
