Re: IDE In LC Ver 9

Glad you found the problem. I hope you report the issue to the appropriate party (I also never heard of the "stack browser" plugin).

You are talking about that transport scheme for IOT devices, right?

If so, not that I'm aware of.

Re: Adressing of files to included folders in standalone

My application is freeware, so ADMIN permission should be implicit. Heya Kresten :D I think you misunderstood Klaus's statement, the permission he is describing has nothing to do with your program, per se, but with the structure of the underlying Operating System. No matter which OS you use, you ha...

Re: Briwser widget: open link in application

I'm not sure either, but hopefully someone that actually works with the browser widget a lot (*cough* Hermann *cough*) will chime in and tell us for sure :wink:

Re: Briwser widget: open link in application

It should be, in the dictionary, I believe the term your looking for is "linkClicked"

Code: Select all

on linkClicked pLink -- open the URL stored with the clicked text
	launch url pLink
end linkClicked

Re: place command

As far as I can tell, you have the script correctly written, and you are right in that it does not work as the dictionary apparently says it should. Maybe someone else knows better how this is supposed to work, I never tried it before. My usual method is to just set the group as a background (which ...

Re: Detecting Image Name On mouseUp

Well, you could also just use the target in the card or stack level script, with the mouseDown or Up event - local myLocalVar --< this variable is outside of any handler, -- and so is available to all handlers from here to the end -- of the page on mouseDown put the name of the target into myLocalVa...

Re: [solved] Bye Livecode

LiveCode appears verbose per-line, but sparse in number of lines needed to accomplish a given task. And gets even sparser once you reach the point of using the available abbreviations, such as [fld = field], [btn = button], [rect = rectangle] and so on and so forth. But even written out long form (...

Re: IDE In LC Ver 9

Well, unfortunately, you have the one particular combo of OS + IDE I can't duplicate heh, but I *really* doubt it is the OS. The version of Lc I tested was 9.0.2, but perhaps you have found a bug in the newest Developers Preview , which is what 9.5.0 is. Basically you are talking about beta level so...

Re: Array add column with 'days until due'

The result will always break down to characters, so you could do a simple test to see if there is a decimal point.

For instance, something like (untested) -

Code: Select all

//////
	if character -2 of t_data is "." then delete character -2 to -1
	answer t_data
//////

Re: IDE In LC Ver 9

Which Os are you using? I wasn't able to generate a problem getting to the script editor on Windows 7 testing out your question, every thing worked as it has in the past far as I could tell. Also, you don't have to right click on anything if you don't want to. Among the (many) ways to get to the scr...

Re: Writing Hex data to COM port

Well, if you know what the bytes are, you can always use baseConvert to convert them to hex values, like this shows from the last tutorial I put out, where it is converting from rgb to hex for the table.

Re: LC Player on RPi

If I had to hazard a guess, I would say it will either be your speaker (monitor, if they are built in), or the wire going to it, or it is possible I suppose that it could be something with the Pi itself. "Popping" and "crackling" on speakers are usually caused by current issues. Luckily, all of that...
