Re: Disappearing Buttons using 9.0.1 Simulator

@Tom @Susan

Good news :)

The problem seems to be fixed, I will email you screenshots of how your stack looks on iOS 12 simulator when built with LC 9.0.2 rc1

Re: Disappearing Buttons using 9.0.1 Simulator

@Tom @Susan

I have received your stacks, thanks.

I will test with the pre-release version of 9.0.2 rc-1 and let you know if the issue is fixed.

Re: Disappearing Buttons using 9.0.1 Simulator

Hello all, Thanks for the update. Ok, it seems this is because of a recent bug in LC 9.0.1, where the culprit was a disabled control with a non-zero blendlevel. This should be fixed in the upcoming 9.0.2 RC-1 version: https://github.com/livecode/livecode/pull/6730 BTW feel free to send your stacks t...

Re: Invalid architectures

Hello Noelc,

Could you post a screenshot of the iOS standalone settings? Could it be the case you have accidentally checked the "build 32 bit slice only" checkbox?

Kind regards,

Re: Can't 'Beep' on iPhone

Hello Simon, Ok, good news that the inclusion of the sound file works fine now. Regarding the "beep" command resulting in vibration only instead of vibration+sound, I am wondering if this is a bug in LC. I suggest you doublecheck that the volume is not too low (or muted), and if you still see the pr...

Re: Can't 'Beep' on iPhone

Hello Simon, Ok, the problem is that the .mp3 file is not included in the standalone. The question is why :) Which version of LC did you use to build the standalone? I just tried with LC 9.0.1, added this file in the Copy Files and then built a standalone. The file does exist in the standalone app b...

Re: Disappearing Buttons using 9.0.1 Simulator

Hello Susan,

Which version of LC did you use to build the standalone that crashes on the iPad?

Does setting the acceleratedRendering of the stack to true make any difference (in the rendering of the controls)?

Regards,

Re: Can't 'Beep' on iPhone

Hello Simon, Does the mp3 file also exist in the standalone app bundle? (Right click on SafeDrive.app and choose "Show Package Contents). In a first glance the code and the file structure looks correct to me. I will have access to an iPhone tomorrow so I will have a look. Do you hear anything if ins...

Re: Can't 'Beep' on iPhone

Hi Simon, On iOS, there is no default beep sound, so you have to set one. The sound file has to be included in the 'Copy Files' section of the standalone application settings. Also make sure that you use a valid path to the sound file. A working example would be: 1. Put your sound file (i.e. myBeepS...

Re: Help! My Code window is stuck

Hello bogs,

I think in LiveCode < 6.7 the resize handle only existed at the bottom-right of the window, but in newer LC versions you can resize the Script Editor window by dragging any of the four corners.

Re: Help! My Code window is stuck

Hello HazelL, For reference, the Preferences are stored in ~/Library/Preferences/RunRev/livecode7.rev file. You can move the Script Editor window (and any other window) by script: 1. Open the message box 2. Type in the message box but do NOT press return: set the top of the mousestack to 300 3. Plac...

Re: App with browser not showing content in IOS

Hello Kaveh,

You can use http urls as well if you disable ATS (App Transport Security) in the iOS standalone settings, although this is not recommended.

Re: Detecting popup keyboard on Windows 10

Hello Matt, These messages are sent on iOS and Android only. However, you might use the "effective working screenrect" to decide if the keyboard is shown. Or you can use the "openField"/"closeField" message, to detect when a field gets/loses the focus (which is when the keyboard shows/hides). Best, ...
