Re: Unable to make a iOS standalone

If the previous suggestion does not fix the problem, I suggest removing all the Xcodes from the LiveCode preferences, and leave *only* Xcode 10.1

Re: Unable to make a iOS standalone

Hello Trevix,

I think the path to your command line tools is not set to match the Xcode version:

Open Xcode 10.1, go to Xcode -> Preferences -> Locations and make sure you choose "Xcode 10.1" in the "Command Line tools" dropdown.

Hope this helps,

Re: Hello World not installing

Hello Trevix,

I think you need to add some more metadata, for example:

Code: Select all

metadata author is "trevix"
metadata title is "testlib"
However the error should have been more descriptive. If you don't mind, could you file a bug report about this?

Kind regards,

Re: Is LC Indy using an "old Internet library?

Hello all, ATS blocks connection that are considered "insecure", including (but not limited to) http connections. In LiveCode, on iOS standalones ATS is enabled by default, but you can turn it off *globally* from the iOS standalone settings. Alternatively, you can add "exceptions" URLs in the plist,...

Re: He who stands alone.

Hello Richmond,

This will be addressed soon, probably in LC 9.0.4 rc1:

Re: Android doesn't ask permission to use camera

Hello Simon,

The external storage permission dialog is shown automatically if you call

Code: Select all

specialfolderpath("external storage")
in your code.

However, you can still "force" it to appear by using the code:

Code: Select all

androidRequestPermission "android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"

Re: Rejected App due to HealthKit (HealthKit is not referenced)

Hello all,

@chrissie
You have to modify the "Info.plist" file that is created when you build the standalone:

<standalone_folder>/<standalone_name>.app/Contents/Info.plist

Re: Android doesn't ask permission to use camera

Hello Simon,

This is a bug. We had fixed this in LC 9.0.1, but the fix did not make it into 9.0.2 and 9.0.3 rc1.

As a workaround until we fix the problem in LC 9.0.3 rc2, add this line before creating the camera:

Code: Select all

androidRequestPermission "android.permission.CAMERA"

Re: Force a redraw or refresh of the screen...

Hello bogs,

Try the following:

Code: Select all

set the backcolor of this card to the backcolor of this card
This should force a screen redraw.

Re: could not locate device support files

Hello Tom, Thanks for the update. I am glad this is now working for you. The steps in the LC instructions are apparently old but I worked it out. We recently updated the lessons. Some screenshots might be from an older version, but the steps should be still valid and accurate. If not, you can file a...

Nice!

Thank you for the follow up Bevan.

I'll file a bug report so as these entries to be included in the plist only if mergHK is included.

Hello Tom,

Yes, I would suggest you create a new development provisioning profile.
