Re: Hiding Pointer Tool Drag Boxes

Hi Craig, so the reason I would like to hide the boxes is I've tried an inelegant method, but I ran into a very evident delay -- I believe this delay comes from resizing the width / height of the object and then moving it... I'm not sure though. I attached a stack, it's a graphical music interface, ...

Hiding Pointer Tool Drag Boxes

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to hide the 8 grey boxes that pop up when you select an object with the pointer tool? I still want to be able to move objects / change height/width of objects, just don't want the selection boxes visible. Thanks

Re: put URL missing data?

Awesome, that explains why there is a lot more data.

Is it possible to obtain the Javascript data using just Livecode, or would I have to use another program like applescript to obtain it?

Re: put URL missing data?

I attached a stack with the livecode data versus applescript data. In short, the livecode data has much fewer lines than the applescript one and so I'm curious why that is. Thanks :)

Re: LiveCode Game Jam

I think that is an awesome idea. I see the Game Jam, or I guess in this case, App Jam, as a way to provide an online portfolio of what Livecode can offer users. I think that expanding the category will definitely encourage a greater number of participants, and ultimately provide an broad display of ...

Re: put URL missing data?

Well, I guess a better way to frame the question is if someone knows what the difference between getting Livecode's "URL" versus Applescript's "source" of a webpage is, as I am unsure.

Re: put URL missing data?

Makes sense haha, thanks

My question now is if there are other ways to get more information from a webpage in livecode besides using URL?

Re: put URL missing data?

Is there a way to access a website's javascript data using livecode? I couldn't find anything posted about that.

Also I tried attaching a text file / livecode stack so people could view the results but it seems that those filetypes are restricted... what filetypes can we post?

Thanks.

put URL missing data?

Hi, I tried getting the html data from Google's homepage using both Livecode and Applescript, however when I ran the programs, Livecode only gave me data that contained 443 words whereas Applescript had 4000. Livecode Code: put URL "https(colon)//www(dot)google(dot)com" Applescript Code: // open goo...

Re: LiveCode Game Jam

Hey Sefro, I'll go ahead and submit tomorrow, might as well put a few more hours into it. Just curious, is the voting amongst only people who submitted, or is it open to anyone who wants to vote? Thanks

Re: LiveCode Game Jam

Hey, just wanted to put out there that I am planning on submitting a top-down shooter for the Game Jam. Thanks for setting up the contest Sefro, Livecode will definitely benefit from having more games created with it to display to the public.
