Re: Including the App Store ICON in xCode 9

As far as adding the App Store ICON, it does not get added to the zip file. The bug report above will have this added to the binary. The zip file process is still valid, I believe. If you have AirLaunch it will generate the .ipa file so you don't need to do the zip file.

Re: database works fine in Livecode, not in Android

No problem, don't be sorry for asking questions. I guess I need to first ask if you have attached your database in Copy Files of the standalone settings? If not you need to. When you attach files in the Copy Files they are put in the "engine", also call "resources", folder of the app. Therefore it i...

Re: ASK Command Return Button means "OK"

Ok, so you want the return char to end the ask interaction without letting the user examine the scan data. I see. I'm not sure how to do that.

Re: ASK Command Return Button means "OK"

I've written a couple of scanner apps so I understand that it puts a RETURN char at the end. This is how I handle it.

Code: Select all

if the last char of EANTemp is RETURN then delete the last char of EANTemp

Re: database works fine in Livecode, not in Android

What Klaus is asking is do you have something like this in your stack script. put specialFolderPath("documents") & "/MHDManager.sqlite" into tDatabaseFile if there is not a file tDatabaseFile then put url("binfile:" & specialFolderPath("engine") & "/MHDManager.sqlite") into url("binfile:" & specialF...

I think I understand what you are asking. Maybe post that part of your code that is setting the return char.

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location

As many LC developers do I have several Xcode versions installed. They are all in the applications folder. Xcode should install into the root of the applications folder by default.

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location

Works fine here. Are you selecting the xCode file in the applications folder?

I asked about this and Elanor submitted a bug report to have this ICON pick added to the standalone settings. Thank you Elanor.

Re: Four options in Android dialog?

Hi yeldarb, You have to understand that Android OS handles lists differently than does iSO. This is not a LC restriction but the limitations of the Android OS. The code I posted above is your best bet for accomplishing this task. You can dynamically populate the variable "pickList" in the code I pos...

Re: How to create the Android Material Design UI Look?

Hi Rachel,
I think you're talking about native input controls. Look up mobileControlCreate in the dictionary.

Here's an example of how I handle xplatform input controls.

This one is more generic:
