Re: Atan2 function give a different result in excel and livecode

The result of the atan2 function is returned in radians. To get this result in degrees, use the following custom function:
function atan2InDegrees firstArg,secondArg
return atan2(firstArg,secondArg) * 180 / pi
end atan2InDegrees

see http://docs.runrev.com/Function/atan2

Re: My local IP address

FYI

I just reported this issue as a bug (20530).
Also added command 'the Address' because this should also give the device name in the first item but instead it states 'android'.

Re: My local IP address

Hi gl, I now understand what you need (sorry, i am also very bad in reading manuals too :oops: ) and have been testing on my android phone. You Are correct that : 'put the hostname into tThisDeviceHostName' gives 'localhost' which should be the the actual device name of the mobile device then of-cou...

Re: My local IP address

One can also use tsNetGetSync for many rest API 's. I used it e.g. for getting currency exchange information and stock information. Make a button with the code below and make a field named "TheAnswer" This rest API will get your internet known IP adres. Read the dictionary for more information. on m...

Re: Email question.

You may also use tsNetSmtpSync if you do not want to use the users client mail application but need to send it directly via a server. See dictionary for more information on tsNetSmtpSync For office 365 SMTP settings see e.g.: https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2862/smtp-settings-for-outlook365-and-...

Re: With Indy license TsNet external unlicensed for sftp ?

No sir, In my opinion this is a different issue. When I try to use sftp instead of ftp in what ever form, i get the message "execution error at line n/a (external: unlicensed) near tsNet". It seems that even with my Indy license I am not allowed to use sftp but only am allowed to use the ftp protoco...
