Re: Levure error when including git
Well color me embarrassed. I did install actual git, and once I rebooted it worked wonderfully. Thank you for lifting my ignorance.

Re: Levure error when including git
Sorry for the confusion. When I am creating a new application with the Levure framework and the initial dialog appears, I have the application name entered, and the Use Git box checked as well as the path to the GitHubDesktop in the text box, Levure create.png after I click the “Create Levure Applic...

Re: Using the ComboBox
I created a solution some time ago to fix this situation. I can't swear to its elegance, and it doesn't look like a combo box, but it does make a search field with a list of existing values that match. #################### /* Autocomplete text Two fields: search and results The search field is an or...

Levure error when including git
While creating an app with the Levure framework, and including git (GitHubDesktop) I receive the error: An error occurred while starting Levure zip archive download [ the directory name is invalid ] I am new to the Levure framework, thus my troubleshooting skills with it are non-existant. When testi...

Re: external stack not working correctly in standalone (solved)
thank you for the suggestion. That saves some space to be sure. I solved the issue by manually setting the inclusions in the standalone settings. The database drivers, and .dll files were not being included in the automatic settings. This of course means i have to remember all the things I used that...

external stack not working correctly in standalone
I am using the example database library stack from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXtKIyz0eRA&t=2708s to access a SQLite Database, and it works perfectly in the IDE, but when saved as a standalone I receive the attached error when attempting to connect to the database file. Capture.JPG This library...

Error during compile freezes IDE
Livecode 8.0 is consistently exhibiting an odd behavior. Any time I either try to execute code with an error, or try to save code that causes the compiler to stop, after clicking the green square to stop the process the circle indicating unsaved changes to the script turns yellow. I can make changes...

At least as of BBEdit 11.1.4 the BlueMango revolution module is incompatible. Does anyone know another?

Re: Livecode 8: where is geometry manager?
I cannot believe that this feature got left out of the IDE, or rather I very much hope it did not. i am looking forward to figuring out where this ids now hidden...

Re: Adding Objects To Groups
Hi all. There are 2000-odd native words in the dictionary. It may not have been obvious that there was such a command as "create", nor that it contains within it the ability to target a group as a destination. As in learning any language, it takes time to get a decent vocabulary. That is why we hav...

Re: one window app
But there are at least two possibilities for approximating an MDI: - You could make window-like objects in groups; draggable, resizable, and even overlapping, with controls for close, zoom, and minimize - You could have the windows as shown in your screen shot, using a backdrop behind them to keep ...

Re: one window app
Sorry for the delay, life went pear-shaped for a few days. I have already developed most of the underlying SQLite database and have written a few small programs that utilize them. I have not used php, though this might be a great time to learn. Thank you all for your great ideas. This discussion did...

Re: one window app
I wish I could say I was surprised that it turns out to be an outdated, and hideously complex way to go about things. The software in the picture is over 6 years old and has not been updated since. I think I will go with a tab panel rather than all the heavy lifting it would take to do the stack wit...
