Re: API 31 Error: Your app currently targets API level 30 and must target at least API level 31
Thanks. Afraid now I am getting a new error though: You uploaded an APK or Android App Bundle which has an activity, activity alias, service or broadcast receiver with intent filter, but without 'android:exported' property set. This file can't be installed on Android 12 or higher. See: developer.and...

API 31 Error: Your app currently targets API level 30 and must target at least API level 31
Hi, I am running 9.6.8. My SDK is up to date with API 31-33 and the latest tools (per a previous post). Every time I try to add the bundle in the Play Store I get the error: Your app currently targets API level 30. and must target at least API level 31 I also tried 9.6.1. I got the error: Your app c...

Re: RevSpeak or Text-to-Speech for French
Hi, Ran across the following link which pulls together this thread I think: https://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?t=31471 Its for Spanish but everything applies. There is a sample stack I am playing with now and looking at getting more voices. I still welcome any and all comments though because ...

Re: RevSpeak or Text-to-Speech for French
Jean-Marc, You have correctly stated my problem. I can use the revSpeak command but the words do not come out pronounced correctly in French. We are using the app to teach young Haitian children to speak French so pronunciation is critical. Like when you select the voice icon in Google Translate it ...

RevSpeak or Text-to-Speech for French
Hi,
I am working on a project where I need to do text--to-speech in French on Android and WIndows platforms. I do not see many current threads on this topic. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?
Thanks
Greg

Counting Lines of Code
Hi,
Is there any quick/easy way to count the lines of code in a stack. I have several stacks with lots of cards and just want a simple count of the lines.
Thanks

Re: Stack save problem in 9.0 - stack dissapeared - cant reload
Panos, Thanks for the things to try. I am afraid though that it did not fix the problem. I did spend more time looking at everything: My findings: 1) My earlier assertion that it was not related to my stack was wrong. Once I rebooted my machine and restarted LiveCode and got everything more stable, ...

Re: Stack save problem in 9.0 - stack dissapeared - cant reload
Hi, Thanks for the ideas. Regretfully no joy. Here is what I get: Message execution error: Error description: Handler: error in statement Hint: message More info: 1. I am running on a Windows 10 system. 2. Now when I load "ANY" stack into LC and save the stack (to a new name) LC crashes. 3. The file...

Stack save problem in 9.0 - stack dissapeared - cant reload
Hi, I just saved a stack in LiveCode 9.0. It is a stack that has been modified and saved many time. Everything looked normal. Nothing else was being done on the machine. Then the stack disappeared as the save concluded. LC saved the stack. I can see the stack in my directory and it is a good size (n...

Re: Children's Education App for Measuring with a Ruler
Thanks everyone for the help on this problem. I have been able to use the grid and line segment to create what I call an 'articulating straight edge". I fix the length of the line segment and can move the entire line segment or move the either side of the segment in an arc with the opposite side sta...

Re: Children's Education App for Measuring with a Ruler
Hermann,
Your stack is great! I need to experiment now putting it into our lesson framework. I may also try adding a center control which allows vertical ad horizontal motion.
This really helps a lot.
Thank you.
Regards,
Greg

Re: Children's Education App for Measuring with a Ruler
I am using 8.1.6 on Windows and the target is an Android tablet. I am currently working with a desktop image and have experimented a bit with SVGs as suggested. At this point I am not worried about the unit of the 'ruler' but ultimately I will be working in centimeters on a 10" tablet on a 1280x720 ...

Re: Children's Education App for Measuring with a Ruler
Thanks for the ideas. My problem is my teachers want the child to be able to move a single 'ruler' in all directions and angles on the screen. They ask for the 'ruler' will start horizontally and then be both moved and rotated. It would be like taking an image/graphic and changing the rotation angle...
