Re: Working with JSON
Sweet thanks for the reply. I did add it in but when I try to use the command it gives me an error "card "contacts": execution error at line 43 (Function: error in function handler) near "json.toArray", char 11" I just do not know enough about live code to find the problem and fix it. I do not know ...

Re: Lesson 1 group and stretch buttons with new mobgui versi
None of the fields worked. Aka buttons or textfields or nav bar. I did not know we where suppose to "Add preOpenCard code to card script." Nothing was mentioned in the lessons?
That fixed it though thanks a million!
See ya,
Sean

Re: Letters in front of variables
Thanks for all the feed back on this. Its funny that I have been coding for some time and never ran into this. I seem to attribute it to the fact that i have only used strongly type languages in the past which limits the usefulness of this because of all the reminders of what type it is at that mome...

Re: Working with JSON
Ya that does not sound to great..... Just drag and drop or?
Also are all the function calls just global to my stack at that point or is there some other needed operation to get it to work right?

Re: Is IDE Auto-Completion on the roadmap?
Thanks for the link, however that was the first thread I saw on the subject and there was no comment from revrun and on top of that, that project was last updated 10 months ago give or take so. My question is specific to them including it into there IDE.

Is IDE Auto-Completion on the roadmap?
Is auto-completion on the road map for the livecode IDE. Auto-completion is one of the most effective ways to learn a new language. Not only do you have less mistakes from spelling and scoping issues, but it also helps a ton in the learning what functions do and how to access them by pulling up the ...

Re: Working with JSON
Hey, Thanks for this. For some reason I cannot get LibjSON to work right. When I run it it just comes back with error in handler. I am not sure if I have it installed it right. Do I jsut put it into the plugins folder where mobgui is at? Do I need to put a #include or import at the top or anywhere i...

Re: Letters in front of variables
From another post: http://forums.runrev.com/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=19704 So with this in mind that answers most of my question. So what does the 'u', 'p', and the 't' mean. There are various variable types in LiveCode- -Temporary Variable (tVar) -Local Variable (sVar) -Global Variables (gVar) Temporar...

Letters in front of variables
I have noticed that alot of variables in live code tend to have a letter in front of them. Is this a live code naming convention or is it required, and lastly what do they stand for/mean to me as a developer? Thanks, Sean P.S Examples: uText, uTabText, tDatabasePath, pType, sDatabaseConnectionId etc...

Re: iOS Simulator could not find the SDK
I had this same issue. The problem is when you update Xcode (aka from 5.0 to 5.1) apple decided that all older sdk's and simulators are out dated and thus should be deleted. So when I updated my Xcode it deleted all my prvious simulators and SDK's and thus made live-code break. Lucky I backed up my ...

Livecode Social Integration
Are there any libraries for Social Integration, aka Linkin, twitter, Facebook? I am looking to do an app that is going to be somewhat centered around the idea of social integration. I search for them and I did not have any luck. If there are no libraries then how would I go about setting this up? Wo...

Re: Webinar Questions
Sorry did not know I was suppose to post before hand. I will do that from now on. Here are some of them. Can you code in other languages? Aka write some non-UI code in java and “import” into live code? How about c++? How does multiple users work for one live code account? Aka my Boss bought the soft...
