Re: Struggling with the WPRestAPI tools
Ghettocottage, Thanks for you reply. I am very serious in the topic and I would want to recreate a conference schedule app in LiveCode with a WordPress backend. We will have a National ICT Summit later in the year (about Sept/Oct). What Todd Fabacher created for LiveCode Conference from 02-04 August...

Re: Struggling with the WPRestAPI tools
lilRalph, Any positive feedback on your post/question? I am also struggling in part to grasp the process. I attended June 27 2015 the webinar on the topic " LiveCode + WordPress = Infinite Possibilities " by Todd Fabacher, CEO of Digital Pomegranate. It can be viewed here https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: Lesson: How do I read/write to files on Mobile?
Hi SparkOut, I appreciate your view, but from my cultural perspective it was an insult. The same goes to Dixie who on Sun Jan 25, 2015 9:19 pm joined the discussion without being asked or invited to comment. Is it a way of showing LiveCode superiority in the forum or what? We all learn one way or th...

Re: Lesson: How do I read/write to files on Mobile?
Better read the COMPLETE lesson first next time! 8) I don't think the forum is meant for this type of assistance/answers! If you don't want to assist members in the forum refrain from giving sarcastic comments. I don't appreciate it. if you are a staff member, it does not emulate the ethics and ser...

Lesson: How do I read/write to files on Mobile?
I tested the stack as per lesson How do I read/write to files on Mobile? (http://lessons.runrev.com/m/4069/l/14301) on my android phone, but the "put specialFolderPath("documents")" does NOT create the file "file:iphonetest.txt" on my phone. I modified it as follows: 1) Set the key board 2) Create a...

File not created on my Android app
Hi The specialFolderPath is creating the .txt file on my widows pc, but when I transfer the standalone to my Android phone it does NOT create the file in the documents folder. The app works as intended on the pc, but when transferred/installed on the phone it misses the required data file. Any point...

Re: Retrieve images from mySql
Klaus, You are so kind and helpful in the Forum....always willing to assist. Thanks a million (from me and all other rookie LiveCoders). Well you're right. It is an image. When I write "put item 5 of tRecord into image "photo""the error (no such object) near "photo" does not exits anymore. But still...

Retrieve images from mySql
I have spent a big chumk of my days reading this forum, stackoverflow and any LiveCode resource I could find, but I am still unable to solve my challenge (namely the fact that I am not quite up to standard with LiveCode, but I am definitely getting there). The only solution is to ask the Gurus in th...
