Re: Platyvue Project

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the presentation at the Users group meeting. It's very cool! I hope you do end up adding some screenshots to this post, because I think it will help people to understand your project better.
Happy to see the evolution. Best of luck!

Re: How to convert curl POST command to LC?

Thank you SparkOut, but I could not get it to work putting in the changes you suggested. Would you mind if I sent you the actual code via PM? And will include my email so you can respond directly. If I sent the actual data, you can invoke it via Livecode and it should send me a message, so I'll know...

Re: How to convert curl POST command to LC?

Hello Mark, Thanks for your reply. I'm going to post both cURL and Livecode, and that way you can see what I'm trying to convert. It will probably make more sense that way. I've sanitized the data a little so the token and channelname are changed. But otherwise its verbatim from my code. Thank you e...

Re: How to convert curl POST command to LC?

Thank you Simon, Thank you Sparkout,
I'll list my example here and maybe you can take a look?
I realize it doesn't make sense out of context, will post tomorrow
but wanted to let you know I saw your replies.

How to convert curl POST command to LC?

Hello Everyone, I'm interested in converting an existing cURL command into Livecode, and once I get that working, adding a friendlier user input to it. But I'm having problems getting the basic curl command to work. Here are my questions: Format questions: 1) the POST /body info is in json format. D...

Re: How do i specify a database file on the target?

Hello,
Mark, I tried Method 1 and it works great! Works in the development setup, and in the simulator too! Cool! :D
DGlass, I didn't realize that there's a Summer Academy forum! Where is it?
Thanks for your help!

Re: How do i specify a database file on the target?

Hi Mark, Oops, I don't think I explained that very well. I would like to "port" the example that Eleanor did in the webinar to the iOS simulator for now, and eventually to the iPhone. In her example, she used specialFolderPath "Desktop", which I'd like to replace with something comparable that will ...

How do i specify a database file on the target?

Hello, I've been modifying the example database app that reads in data from an existing database file. How do I specify that file directory, when it comes to the target? something like pwd? or here "."?

Is there a "dismiss keyboard" command for iOS?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but here goes. I have a very simple app, that has a text field in it. When I run it in the iOS simulator, if I clicked inside the field, the keyboard comes up, and when I click outside, the keyboard goes away. I then brought in a background imag...

how to iterate through tables in a database

How do I iterate through the list of table names in a database?
I'd like to create a generic database display, and I want to get the table names (using revDatabaseTableNames), and generate a list to iterate through.
Thanks!
Diane
