Re: Is tmControls OK to purchase from?

Kevin,

Yes, this is a valid company with awesome products. Scott will be back with you shortly, I am sure! I was just with him at the conference and he is probably on his way back.

Re: About to wave my white flag. Perhaps the only way is to

Is it working properly in the IDE? Or is it just not working once you try to test it on your Android device?

Re: DBLib

I just saw this and wanted to chime in. I also have DBLib and not only is it a great product, Andre goes above and beyond the call of duty to help people. I am sure that there is a simple explanation for the mixup here. In the meantime, if you have any questions about DBLib, please post it here and ...

Re: "go back" without the go?

As stated, recentcards will work. Just remember it lists the cards in reverse order so that the most recent card is at the top of the list.

Re: Newbe… which DB?

You can always create he ODBC connection from within LC itself. I have had to do that many times when deploying an app across the network. That might open your possibilities up a little bit.

Re: Can LC read email address?

Is this for a mobile platform or a standalone application. I think that would determine how y would go after this information. Depending in the platform you are targeting, there might be some better methods to use other than something like an email address. If you are targeting a Windows computer, I...

Re: Calendar Event Scheduling

Two quick questions:
1) Are you using a Windows machine with Outlook installed?
2) Would you be apposes to having LC create a calendar event in Outlook outside of your LC standalone?

If the answer is yes, you could go down the path of using VBscript to do this for you. Just a thought...

Re: VOIP and LiveCode?

I have looked at several platforms to base a VOIP application off of. I am glad to see I am not the only one looking to accomplish this. The one that I fnd that looks like it might have the most possibilities is Twilio.

Interested in collaborating on this?

South Florida User Group

I am exploring setting up a LC user's group down here in South Florida. I am in the Ft. Lauderdale region and am trying to gauge interest and determine how many LC developers we have in this area.

Please respond to let me know if you are interested.
