Re: Date and Time in RFC 3339 format

Ok, I've developed a solution and want to share it here: function ConvertInternetTimeToSeconds tInternetTime -- IN: 2019-07-11T15:15:22.801Z -- OUT: 1562858122 set itemdelimiter to "T" put item 1 of tInternetTime into tDate put item 2 of tInternetTime into tTime set itemdelimiter to "-" put item 1 o...

Re: tsNet on LC server

Hi SparkOut, I have had the same problem. it is an error in the manual, the server has NO tsNet library. But you could use curl as a replacement. This is what my host replied as an asnwer how to use FTP with Livecode: "If you are wanting to programmatically transfer a file to another server, one way...

Re: Date and Time in RFC 3339 format

A typical example is this one: 2019-07-10T18:27:07.744Z It is the standard format for many internet service timestamps. YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.fff (Z = UTC = Universal Time Coordinated) It shouldn't be too complicated to implement into the engine. Until then, I will have to write my own translator for ...

Date and Time in RFC 3339 format

Is there a way to transform the livecode date and time information into the Internet format RFC 3339?

I am working with this type of data and want to know if I have to write an own function for it or if it is planned to have it as another date-time format in Livecode?

Kind regards,
Torsten

Any is great!

Thanks for this tip, Klaus! The problem with the names is that there is not one way of writing theses words: the Livecode dictionairy also says "listRegistry" the function says "listregistry". I asked the wiki host, if there is a way of still accepting lowercase pagenames. I am waiting for reply, ma...

Random keywords for learning

Here is my intention: I wanted to have a random pick of the livecode commands and functions in order to learn more about unexplored areas. This line beams you to a random keyword in the english livecode wiki: launch url ("https://livecode.fandom.com/wiki/" & line random(the number of lines in (the c...

Re: Fast method for counting RGB values of an image

Hi, that's great to hear from you!

My images are PNG files. Can you help me to find the right javascripts and how to implement them?

The output should look like this:

124,22,37 12971
0,38,255 12649
182,255,0 10730
255,0,0 9264
0,0,0 7920
255,106,0 7008
255,133,133 2

Thanks in advance
Torsten

Re: Fast method for counting RGB values of an image

This is the code from a stack named: rgbValuesOfImage from Bernd Niggemann (as can be seen in the comment section): # getting the unique RGB values of an image # putting them into an array to filter for unique RGB # taking the keys of the array which now contain the unique RGB values # the content o...

Fast method for counting RGB values of an image

Hi, my task is simple, I want to count the amount of RGB values of the pixels in an image: how often 201,10,10 occurs in the image etc. I found a stack, which does it, but the method is extremely slow: an image with 500 x 500 pixels needs half an hour or longer. Is there a quicker method for countin...

Re: Can mergJson, Livecode builder be used with Livecode Server?

if you need JSON encoding and decoding functions, I recommend EasyJson:

devhub. io/ repos/ luxlogica-easyjson

You have to put include "easyjson. lc" into your server-script or copy the content of the file into it.

Cheers,
Torsten

Re: How to group multiple objects by scripts?

Hi, I had the same question and found a good hint in the famous book "Cooking with HyperCard" frm Dan Winkler and Scott Knaster, in which are recipies for doing the same thing to a group of objects. The key is "repeat with i = 1 to the number of buttons" where you don't have to specify each button i...

Simpler Copy to clipboard command

Hi, I want to make a recommendation: I just wanted to put the text of a variable into the clipboard and wondered what is the reason, that: copy tText into clipboard does not work. The "correct" way: set the clipboardData["text"] to tText is IMHO a harsh distraction from the english language style Li...
