Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
Elements and a really old Acrobat. I'll check out FOSS. Have to say that OpenOffice has been as good as MS Office, and without the backdoors into my Mac. Mobgui trail, just downloaded, does not work with LiveCode 4.6.1. I've asked them last night for an old version of MobGui that will, have not hear...

Do you mean a Radio Button? If not, what platform are you talking about?

Re: LC 5.5 Plugins folder
LiveCode 5.5 has preferences-> files and memory-> user extensions
where the long path of the folder that contains your plugins folder should be seen. Is it correct?

Re: Saving as a standalone application
The IOS gets loaded into XCODE when you plug in your iPad, and it checks to see what version of IOS to load. What Mac OS are you using? What version of XCODE?

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
LiveCode 5.5 means I have to buy a new iPhone, new Mac OSX, and new Adobe products. Can't just now. Will this work? In the slow lane, I have an iPhone 3G, running maximum IOS 4.2.1, with a no contract STRAIGHTTALK unlimited everything $45/mo plan; Mac OS 10.6.8, and XCODE 4.02. I have not upgraded m...

Naming, Saving, Editing Stack Name
Mistyped "Hello WOrld" and can't change it by editing the stack name in the property inspector because it does not seem to save the change. So I deleted the file, created a new stack, but the old misspelled name is still there. I don't understand how naming and saving and editing names works. I am s...

Re: Can't find my stack following Creating Standalone Lesson
That was the problem: Also, if you're actively working with the ide (this may sound like a silly thing to point out) make sure you're actually working with the .exe and not still poking around with the original launcher stack in the ide. I was opening the livecode Launcher, instead of the app Launch...

Re: Can't find my stack following Creating Standalone Lesson
Trashing my preferences just deletes my recents list in the openFile menu, but does not take care of the problem. I still get the "can't find stack" error message opening Launch. I'd rather have the recents list, so put my preferences back. LiveCode did crash with that last opening of the launcher s...

Re: Can't find my stack following Creating Standalone Lesson
OK, but this is a LiveCode Lesson, straight off the web page, no alterations. Why doesn't it work? Your code does make it work, until it tries to close the launcher stack, then it can't find that either. Applying your code to the line, closeStack "Launcher" it works, but now I can't get to edit the ...

Interesting, but he is a salesman. The data he quotes encourages us to buy his products, so might not be what I'd want to base a business plan on.

Re: Can't find my stack following Creating Standalone Lesson
Thanks for the code. I put it in a button on the "Launcher" stack, and get this path when I click it: /Volumes/Guild/Users/Silence/Documents/Mac/LiveCode Game Academy/GA Week 6/week6stacks 2/myStandAlone My "Launcher" stack and my "Main Application" stack are both in that folder, screen shot below: ...

Can't find my stack following Creating Standalone Lesson
There is a great tutorial LiveCode Lessons | How To - Step-By-Step Guides To Tasks In LiveCode | How do I save custom properties in a standalone application? http://lessons.runrev.com/s/lessons/m/4 ... pplication So now I'm doing the lesson, following the directions, and getting an error message tha...

Re: Message Path Question
Try deleting your preferences file. I had that in the Dec. Game Academy with class stacks. It went away, don't know why; might have been that "strict compilation" mode was checked, so it was not able to execute due to local variables that were undeclared. My "apply" button was visible. Might have ha...
