How to run a 32 bit linux deployment on a new raspberry pi 4 debian?

You guys may not know, but the new Raspberry Pi 4b is a monster machine smaller than a cigarette pack. It has a quad core processor, 4 USB 3 slots, 4gb of ram, two HDMI slots and can even have 64 bit linux distros installed on it. Right now, I am running the raspian debian graphics version (like win...

Is there a alternative code editor to Livecode's built-in one?

Hi all. I have been programming Livecode for a while now and the built-in editor gives me so many problems, I could pull my hair out. Specifically, it slows down to a crawl with lots of code or just a couple of scripts open. Is there an alternative code editor compatible with the Livecode language? ...

Re: Dialog box opens up behind systemWindow stack

I am having the same problem. In Windows 10, everything works perfectly in the editor. However, after building, ask and answer dialogs are hidden or behind other items in the stack. How can I fix this? I need answer and ask dialogs to appear like they should. I can't seem to find anything in the bui...

Re: MQTT

Turned out I was using 64 bit in a 32 bit version. I talked with Trevor and he was able to round up 64 bit versions of the library. Copying and pasting those in place in the /code folder made this library work in 64 bit. Thank you Trevor! Question: how does one log into a IP address to receive messa...

Re: MQTT

I tried to get this to work - followed all the instructions - loaded the .lcb file into extension builder. Ran the livecode test file and when I click the check lib Misquitto version button, I get an error: button "Check libMosquitto Version": execution error at line 2 (LCB Error in file D:/Document...

Re: ANN: Calendar Plugin

I've tried numerous ways to use set with a calendar control and it always ends up not working. example: set the selectedDate of field "calEventDate" of group "grpCreateEvent" to eventDate set the label of button "calTaskDate" of group "grpCreateTask" to the english date Any help is appreciated. Re: ANN: Calendar Plugin

Is there any code on how to get or set this calendar? I am having a tough time using it. Can this code be used: get the selectedDate of widget set the selectedDate of widget to pDate If so, what do we replace 'widget' with? Most instructions in LiveCode are so damn vague. This plugin is from an ind...

Re: Neural Network

Klaus, I meant recently. My absence from Livecode was because we chose another language to create the system with, only to find out it was not as good a choice as Livecode, so we are back. I gave you my email address in this set of replies and to date, I have received no emails from you at that addr...

Re: Neural Network

P.S. As I wrote in the "Deveolper Service Marketplace" I made a lot very generous proposals like payments by installments and whatnotall, but he did not show any will or attempt to pay a single cent! And yes, sorry, I also hate to do this here, but this is the only way to get in contact with him, h...

Re: Neural Network

I will talk with Klaus privately about all this, but I never called him a villian and he did help us - but at the same time, ORIGINALY, we set some financial guidelines and got zonked when we did not expect to - we allocated a specific amount of funds for additional coding and all went to Klaus. In ...

Re: Neural Network

I have chosen to keep quiet about this - but the fact is, Klaus over-charged us and took advantage of us - we never authorized that kind of money and the last $400 we supposedly owed, we decided to pay when we decide to. To date, we have still not made any money on our technology because it has take...

Re: Livecode crash on me more then 10 times a day

Livecode (current version business license) just crashed. I was editing a table widget. Livecode crashes about 5 times or more per day for me as well.

Re: Best control to display a list of records

Thank you. The table field may be perfect. I do not need total spreadsheet functionality. I just need rows and columns and populate each row with data and allowing the user to double click on a row to select it and do something.
