Re: Cannot open stack anymore after crash
Thank you for all help. While there's a lot of JPEGs in there which would need to be imported again if remaking it, the scripts themselves are few and short, so at least that part of rebuilding would be a snap. That is was the student did. I am using the plugin stack "Auto backups" and it has saved ...

Re: Cannot open stack anymore after crash
Thank you for all this inputs. Unfortunately, I could not find a file with a tilde. I didn't understand, how to open with 'lockmessage'. This is the file: https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/72754ea4-eda6-4c1a-b83d-661673e0f02b (it is bigger than the size limit of the forum, the link works for 30 days)

Cannot open stack anymore after crash
One of my students was working on a stack. When he tried to save it, livecode crashed. Now the stack can't be opened anymore. - Double-clicking on the stack will open livecode, but the stack will not open. - Open from Livecode via the menu - it does not open. The file itself is there, and with 1477 ...

PGCPS Match Game
I postet the following post about a week ago in the "Beginner" section and had no answers. Maybe it should be here, as it's about teaching LiveCode: For many years Cyril Pruszko used LiveCode in the school until his retirement. He has documented a large part of his lessons on the Internet; a great t...

Dead end with Memo game
For many years Cyril Pruszko used LiveCode in the school until his retirement. He has documented a large part of his lessons on the Internet; a great treasure: https://sites.google.com/a/pgcps.org/livecode/ . I have now come across an exercise there, where I am stuck (and it's just one of the few th...

Re: How to put LiveCode in the hands of more teachers/students
I remember the time, when in the teacher training were HyperCard courses, a lot of teachers used it to create apps or even with the children. Now, I discovered for the first time a teacher training course for live code: https://www.zal.ch/angebote/kurse?course=18-0802-13 The course is over, but you ...

Replace pict in buttons
Hello This is probabely a complete beginners question. I took an existing stack (*) and wanted to adapt it (change the pictures, text, ...). It looks to me that all the pictures are on buttons, but now, I have no idea, how to acces them to replace them. I would like to solve the problem myself, but ...

Merge stacks
Hello,
Is there a way to merge stacks? - or to copy complete cards with included files, buttons, pictures and sounds?
The children created each an one-card stack about a month and I would like to put them together to have one stack with 12 cards.
G.

Re: Livecode asks for a newer version than exist?
Thank you for that link. It was a little bit confusing, as I had to install Android Studio 3.0.1 for Linux, but then in Configure > SDK Manager > Tab "SDK Platforms" chose Android 4.0.3 (IceCreamSandwich) which adds API 15 as shown in one of the columns behind.
Thank you, Richmond 62.

Livecode asks for a newer version than exist?
I made a little stack and wanted to save it as standalone application. It went well for MacOS, Windows and Linux, but not for Android. I installed Android Studio before, but if I point in the Preferences > Mobile Support > Location of Android development SDK root, I get an error message "The chosen ...

Re: Help Us Take LiveCode Open Source
The "open language" feature will mean translation of livecode itself into some form of french or other languages becomes a possibility. Hello heatherlaine, I am just wondering what happend with this open language Feature, you wrote in 2013 and Georgia Hutchings made an allusion in 2014 ( https://li...

Re: Translate!
There is another translator with less languages than Google, but better translations: deepl.com. They have an API, just have a look here: https://www.deepl.com/api-reference.html

Re: How to put LiveCode in the hands of more teachers/studen
I am asking for an EDU event with a LiveCode focus in Pittsburgh from any time from May 2017 to August 2017, That is the only way. Teacher use, what they know or what they learnt on an Event/teacher training. Many years ago, many teachers worked with HyperCard. Why? 1. HyperCard was localised. That...
