Fantastic LiveCode lives on Raspberry Pi

Have been installing LiveCode 6.5.1 on Raspberry Pi’s for awhile. But wanted more.. Just learned from LiveCode support that support for LiveCode for the Raspberry Pi was a community effort! Here is my pledge of support! To start I have one stupid question.. I have a Raspberry Pi 3, 64 gb SD card, ru...

Re: Apple TVos - Wonder if LiveCode will work

Peter! Is there an example for what you are trying to explain, so that I can follow along? I've been waiting for the web version of Livecode/runrev for years, still waiting. Have a livened server, that only gets me so far (at least towards my goals). I've investing a lot of time and money into LiveC...

Apple TVos - Wonder if LiveCode will work

New Apple TV's on their way.

Anyone else wondering if LiveCode is planning on supporting TVos?

Just a silly question.

Thanks

Re: Yosemite, Server.app and LiveCode Server

Saw / Found that online.. Tried a few dozen combinations, never got it to work.. Everything works fine on our older 10.6 servers, but not the 10.10.. We are still using the older revserver : CGI-Executables/revserver/revserver Executable is the last revserver. The php code had <?rev and <irev change...

Yosemite, Server.app and LiveCode Server

Good Day. Does anyone know if there is new instruction for configuring LiveCode Server, on a Yosemite Server? Could you post a URL? Just upgraded one of our servers to 10.10 running Yosemite Server APP and I was surprised to see, normal 'configuration' doesn't work. Yes, I have web services configur...

Re: New Task - Monitor Children's Net Activity.

Let me restate the question..

Is there anyway to create a LiveCode Service that runs in the background?

Re: New Task - Monitor Children's Net Activity.

Use of plug-ins. Training. Lots of reasons not to use a custom browser, rather use what is already installed and in use.. Besides without going to the extreme of removing all other browsers, how could we force children to use the NEW one? (it is hard enough to get 30 kids, 3rd graders, to following ...

New Task - Monitor Children's Net Activity.

The school district I work for has a filter that blocks web sites, and it works very well. But they refuse to block sites, we (Elementary School), feel need to be blocked (guess middle or high school have a need for "http://www.coolmath-games.com". So I was wondering is it possible to create a LiveC...

Re: Displaying image from network camera..

Yes your idea of using the Bin file was a big help, that was the final 'issue' I was having with this part of the project. The hard part was figuring out the image file's name and URL location in each camera. But using a browser that allows you to view the cameras page's source code it becomes a sim...

Re: RunRev / LiveCode SERVER!

So, anyone have any ideas on how to 'trigger' a script, or script bundle (app) from LiveCode server?

Re: Displaying image from network camera..

Here is the resulting code that works with the TrendNet TV-IP201W network camera. It will work with other cameras with modification.: <table width="100%"><tr><td align="center"> <?rev put "192.168.0.227" into myIPAddress --put the time &&"-"&& the short date &&"-"&&myIPAddress && cr --put "<br>" put...

Re: RunRev / LiveCode SERVER!

The "Server" has an ichat client running, and 'sees' the statues of other "servers" (that also run ichat).. We want the script to run ON the server, just like PHP, or a web page.. And you are correct I wouldn't want anyone pushing scripts to my server and running.. There is already a applescript on ...

RunRev / LiveCode SERVER!

Attempting to create a web page that poles ichat for a users status.. Am I just assuming this should work? Dawns on me running scripts might not work on "server". it works as a script and as a application. Currently I have it ran as a timed script, but that seems wasteful of system resources. So try...

Re: Displaying image from network camera..

Very Cool.. Make sense.. Now another problem appears.. See attachment. Think the load takes place to fast (or to slow), misses/skips a lot of pixels. At least that is what I think the problem is. Thanks for the help, this is great! ~David Oh I am a supporter of the Open Source LiveCode... Would love...

Re: Displaying image from network camera..

Ok, even more confused.. I'm trying to do this with on-rev/livecode server (we have our own server setup, but also host, some sites on on-rev)! In the past most of my tasks were reading Arduinos, xbees, IPPower controllers, etc. All serial. And create active changing web pages depending on content, ...
