Re: Best extensions for my word/excel based needs.

Thanks for the resource suggestions - as well as sample file. @Terry, your site is pretty informative too! I've been going through the various tutorials on the livecode site as well as plan on trying out your tutorials on your site Terry and see if I can make this my self ^^. Again, if anyone is loo...

Re: Best extensions for my word/excel based needs.

Thanks for all the replies so far. To help give you all an idea of what I'm looking for, I made a preliminary design on what I'm imagining. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/808275796149403668/810873391565242368/Screen_Shot_2021-02-15_at_23.00.20.png This currently is more focused on excel shee...

Best extensions for my word/excel based needs.

Hello, I joined a long long time ago. Life happened and I'm back 8 years later :p. I would like to say I've mastered livecode by now, but unfortunately I'm no better now than I was then. My story aside - I want to create the following in livecode. I can import an excel/word document. (Either 1 or mu...

Re: New eBook: Coding Nine LiveCode Games

Ohhh an e-book for download and to put in any device I own?

I'll buy it just to support this method that others *wink wink* don't do because they fear "piracy".

Great work :D.

I'll see if I can pump out a game or two :p

Re: MobGUI Icon Buttons - Enhancement Suggestion - Almost 1.

Thanks for reviving this software you wrote up. I've been waiting for the themes that livecode said they were going to be putting in, but I guess since you're around they're putting it on the back burner (also considering the amount they promote you :P) That said, will we be alerted when it reaches ...

Re: google search field

Hi Coffee, I don't mean to hijack your thread but there is apparently no way to send you a private message - so I need to result to a public message like this. I also live in Japan, would you be up for meeting and perhaps speaking about livecode some? I'm new to this as well and it'd be neat to work...

Re: .

Well, this is surprising. Deleting the title and "moving" the post just goes to point out you're not certain in your decision. You sir, have lost a sale - even if it was digital.

Enjoy staying in the past with your web 1.0 website.

Re: .

Well, considering you are the founder, owner, and one of the three people working there one would think that speaking to you directly instead of filling out a form would bring things to a brighter light, but funny how the world doesn't work as expected :).

Re: LiveCode for the Real Beginner

I find that surprising, but I also imagine the people that bought your physical book were probably more keen to wanting physical information anyway. While I'm sure your book is no Harry potter, there are cases time and time again that ebooks not only have greater sales but lead to physical sales as ...

Re: Community edition options

Hi njt, From the Dictionary: Summary: A native iOS control, UITextView, which allows the editing of multiple lines of text. Examples: mobileControlCreate "multiline" mobileControlCreate "multiline", "name entry" While it does say iOS, the release notes for Android say it works there as well. Or am ...

Re: Community edition options

Hi njt, Look up native controls in the iOS, Android release notes (under the Help menu). It's what you should use text entry for mobile devices. As far as the bg (hope thats background) look up backgroundPattern or just import an image or use a color. Easy! Simon I see, it does link to some example...

Re: Community edition options

I use and other graphics to mimic the look and feel of iOS, and program the behaviours myself. It's a pain but once you've done it a few times you have a library of examples to use :) It would of course be better to have built in platform-specific objects and hopefully we'll see them eventually. Ge...

Community edition options

Hello, I've recently downloaded and have been messing around with the community edition of LC. This is my first post in this wonderful forum. I can't tell you how much I was thrilled to see that development is now within my reach, however as a new user and potential client - I'm a bit torn between m...
