Connection to Oracle DB

Hi, is there any chance to see an improved version of Oracle DB connection commands? For instance, 64 bit drivers compatibility, possibility to call functions and get the result of it... I heavily rely on db connection, so I pay for the commercial build of LC, but I find it to be too basic. What do ...

My problem is that when I change record on the dataGrid, most of the times (not always) the focus goes to the main ...

Re: Weird behavior of compiled app for windows

One more thing, on both those PC, when I installed LiveCode for the first time it gave me an error: it could not write something into the registry. Then I tried again to install it and it worked. The very same thing happened on both PCs.

Weird behavior of compiled app for windows

I'm having a wired issue with LiveCode 8.1.3 business edition. I've made an app for windows in order to connect to an Oracle Database. There are some issues, mainly because this version of LiveCode does not include oracle driver, therefore I hade to copy oracle driver from an old version of LiveCode...

Re: Connection string

By the way, on this website http://livecode.wikia.com/wiki/OracleDB They write: put revOpenDatabase("oracle",databaseName, DBHOST_Oracle, DBUSER_Oracle,DBPSWD_Oracle) into gConnectionID_Oracle But then the example is: put revOpenDatabase("oracle", "www.example.com", "MyDB", myUsr, myPass) into cID A...

Re: Connection string

Indy an Business are both commercial version of livecode, aren't they?
I haven't found any differences about Oracle DB on those 2 licences. Maybe I haven't looked on the right place?

Anyway I'm buying the Business versione in a month or so, then I hope this problem will disappear! :D

Connection string

Hello! I need to connect to an Oracle DB. Here's the connection string I've received from the IT guys: REC_PROD = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xyz.abc.asd.poi)(PORT = 1521)) ) (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = REC)) ) If I try to connect with SQL Developer I use: Host: xyz....
