Are there any other image file formats supported by LiveCode that do GIF-like multiple frame animations?
We're dying with the way our GIFs are rendering inside LiveCode. Can anyone offer any alternatives?

Re: Control play of GIF
That's extremely helpful. Thank you. I will go experiment. Isn't there a way, though, to repeat the whole animation without a loop. I could see needing the loop to play a segment of a GIF. But to just replay the whole GIF, there isn't a way to do that without controlling the animation with a loop?

Control play of GIF
How do I
- Play the animation of a GIF just once and stop
- Repeat the play programmatically?
Thank you.

New - and need to shell out a game quickly
I'm an experienced developer but new to LiveCode, and I need to create the shell of a keyboard based,
typing based game pronto.
Is there any example of something similar that I could borrow as a quick tutorial?

Is there anything special needed for a bluetooth keyboard
Is there anything special I will need to do to collect input from a bluetooth-attached keyboard? I have been developing software for 28 years, and I have never had any situation where I had to *select the keyboard*. I'm working on a first LiveCode app with a new team. The team is designing custom ap...

Re: Vector graphics formats
Thank you both. The only reason we were talking about vector graphics was to be able to easily resize them without degradation. Can I resize GIFs and PNGs fairly easily? In an early tutorial, I see everything on the stack/screen resizing automatically - including controls - just by resizing the wind...

Vector graphics formats
I'm having difficulty finding out what is available to me from LiveCode for vector graphics. I am new to LC, but I am an experienced programmer. We are going to build something needing sizable vector graphics. Can the graphics artist develop them using the tool of her choice, or must we develop them...

Versions of Solaris
I have checked RunRev out multiple times in history. Still haven't used it for a project. We now have a significant amount of Solaris work. What versions of Solaris will it create apps for? Do you develop natively on a Sun/Solaris, or from a Windows machine and then build an executable there that is...

Image Capture Demo fails
I tried to start exploring the image capture demo app.
It ends unexpectedly when I press any of the video settings buttons.

Another clue
Later last night, I decided to run WindowsUpdate on the machine.
Since the reboot, the videos are now displaying inside Rev.

The video tutorials are downloaded to: My Documents/My Revolution Media/Resources/Video Tutorials and you should be able to launch them from within there in either the QT Player or Windows Media Player. This worked for me. Thanks. I was looking for the videos myself, but I looked under Program File...

Media Docs in PDF format
I'd like to get all the Media docs on my work machine - without downloading the product to the machine.
Can someone point me towards PDFs of the Media Docs?
If there aren't Media PDFs, can someone point me towards the latest and greatest Studio PDFs?
Thanks.
