Re: About LiveCode

Yes, the livecode 7 is the best for coding speed and stability. After started the transition to widgets, and the IDE is no more fast as before*, the property inspector is a little mess now and I hate the project browser because is too slow, meanwhile I loved the application browser (fast and easy). ...

Re: Unable to install LC 9 on Ubuntu 18.04

Well... What a disappointment! The installation requires lot of unmet dependencies. I've tried to install them manually and I broke the Linux install :( I've trashed the Ubuntu 18.04 install and reinstalled Windows as LC isn't working on latest Linux distros as I see, official or unofficial package...

Livecode 9.0.0 and the browser widget crash

Hello,
the old trick to make work the browser widget on Linux:

Code: Select all

export LC_ALL= LC_NUMERIC=C
export LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1
it doesn't work any more on livecode 9.0.0 stable.
Livecode crash as soon I try to put the browser widget on a card.
Did you found a solution?

Re: Writing UTF/8 from a field?

HtmlText will escape the angle brackets, so while it's sometimes useful for converting non-HTML to a form of HTML (which usually needs further massaging to turn into web-ready HTML), if you're starting with HTML it'll just produce a form that browsers will render with all the tags showing, rather t...

Re: Widget Spinner

Hi Max, Hi Klause, is it really that hard to transcribe a (not so) unknown FIVE Letter name? :( Sorry, my fault. For Italians you name is a mess to type. It's totally unnatural because we don't use K and the "laus" is very unorthodox coupling of vocals... and so my hands added a "e" automatic...
