Re: Extracting text from a PDF file or filling a montlhy PDF Courses Form

2) Fulfill all empty fields with data from a managing stack...and print it too. (in that case no content import/export, just editing/adding text above/within the PDF file. This is easy with livecode and more flexible. The PDF format is one way to untouchable, when something is in PDF can't come bac...

Re: Little How To? use PHP and PDO communication with MYSQL

I my humble point of view you still don't need PHP. You can use just livecode for all user clients, they connect directly to MySQL database. Then on the server (Linux) install also fail2ban and then modify the file /etc/fail2ban/jail.local like this way: [mysqld-iptables] enabled = true filter = mys...

Re: Little How To? use PHP and PDO communication with MYSQL

revdataFromQuery has some sort of SQL injection defence. So you can connect directly to a MySql db.
Try this:

Code: Select all

put "red" into valueX
put "10" into valueY
put revDataFromQuery(tab,return,myID,"SELECT x,y FROM test WHERE x = :1 AND y = :2", "valueX", "valueY" ) into tResults

Re: Adding Numbered Line to a Numbered List and Renumbering List

My opinion, this is faster:

from:

Code: Select all

set the htmlText of field 1 to "<ol><li>apples</li><li>Pears</li><li>Peaches</li><li>Cherries</li></ol>"
to

Code: Select all

set the htmlText of field 1 to "<ol><li>apples</li><li>Pears</li><li>Oranges</li><li>Peaches</li><li>Cherries</li></ol>"

Re: Four options in Android dialog?

2. How do I initialize a list and/or array so that I don't have to duplicate it for the native answer dialog? In other words, the mobilePicker takes a return-delimted string ("chioce1" & cr & "choice2") but the native answer dialog takes a string separated by " or " as in "chioce1" or "choice2". I ...

Re: Four options in Android dialog?

So I'm building a mobile app, and I've made use of the ask/answer dialog, which provides a simple native solution. However, I have a couple questions that have four options, and I discovered that the native android dialog appears to be limited to three options. Is there any way around this limitati...

Re: mobile camera

The advanced features about camera are not public, so you have to contact support@livecode.com to know if you can do it with the commercial versions.

Re: custom answer boxes

The text of answer or ask is intepreted as htmlText, so you can use HTML to produce cool effect.
For example:

Code: Select all

answer error "<b>Noooo!</b> <br>You shouldn't have clicked that button..."
Nooo.png

Re: Google Recommend +1 button

The simplest solution is to put on a public webpage this code:

Code: Select all

  <script src="https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js" async defer></script>
  <g:plusone></g:plusone>
Then use the browser widget to show that page.

Re: mobile camera

First: I suggest you to open new thread, otherwise very old and long thread are usually ignored.
Second: what version of livecode do you use? Community (free) or any commercial version?

Re: iCalendar Open Source Lib for LiveCode

I just checked with the command:

Code: Select all

nc -lp 8070
what's the difference between the header of curl and the header of livecode.
the only differences are:
  • no quotes
  • Accept: */*
